16. Ernährungstherapie bei entzündlich-rheumatischen Erkrankungen

Zusammenfassung

Eine antientzündliche Ernährung kann zusätzlich zur medikamentösen Behandlung empfohlen werden. Ein Speiseplan, der wie die mediterrane Küche reich an Gemüse, Obst, Getreide, Hülsenfrüchten, Samen und Nüssen ist, bildet die Basis. Außerdem sind Olivenöl, Milchprodukte und Fisch ratsam, aber nur geringe Mengen Fleisch. Unnötig ist ein Verzicht auf bestimmte Lebensmittelgruppen, da dadurch Mangelerscheinungen auftreten können. Eine, wie von vielen Patienten gewünschte „Rheumadiät“ gibt es nicht. Neben der Ernährungsanpassung ist die Steigerung der körperlichen Aktivität, ein regelmäßiges Training und gegebenenfalls Gewichtsabnahme ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Therapie.
