Zusammenfassung

Bei der frühen Diagnose einer entzündlichen Gelenkerkrankung steht trotz modernster technischer Hilfsmittel noch immer das Wissen und die Erfahrung des Untersuchers im Vordergrund. Eine frühe Diagnostik ist gefordert, da bereits wenige Monate nach Beginn einer rheumatoiden Arthritis irreversible Schäden an den Gelenken auftreten können und daher eine rasche und gezielte (Basis-)Therapie zwingend ist. Der Beitrag beschreibt und erklärt diagnostische Schritte und differenzialdiagnostische Überlegungen und informiert auch ausführlich über labortechnische und bildgebende Verfahren.
