Zusammenfassung

Die Klassifikation und das Ausmessen der Bruchpforte von hiatalen Hernien sind Grundlagen für das weitere operative Vorgehen. In diesem Kapitel werden Indikationen und Prinzipien der Netzverstärkung beschrieben. Neben dem Komplikationspotenzial von Kunststoffnetzen werden Klassifikation und Therapieoptionen des sogenannten „short esohagus“ dargestellt.
